Working  as a wedding videographer, there are many suppliers you don’t get to see whilst out filming, and stationary design is one of them. You get to see the finished articles, the table plans, the place names and other small details, and it always has you wondering about the person behind the designs. I was so fortunate to get to meet Lynda whilst coming together with other creatives for a shoot ahead of a wedding fair at The Pilgrims Rest in Sussex. I caught her in action laying out her designs and was straight away blown away by her creativity.

With over 20 years experience in graphic design behind her, it is no surprise that her work is so beautiful. It is simple, decorative, with a huge attention to detail, and she has an ability to turn your vision into something that really is unique. And whats more, she has a really beautiful heart too! There’s one thing that has always been clear to me with Lynda and that is that she is truly genuine, and has a lot of passion for what she does- and to me passion is everything. I’m so excited to see how her work evolves over the years and am really excited to share some of it with you here…

How did you come to be a stationary designer?

I began my small business specialising in bespoke wedding stationery, invitations and occasion

cards in early 2012, of all things I love which created the name LyndaLoves. I guess it all started

after I got married myself. I love everything about them. The whole choice of themes, the venues,

the dresses, the details…I designed my own wedding stationery in 2011, along with other requests

for friends and family. It was then I realised how much I loved the whole process of creating

beautiful, stylish work and seeing the finished result in print.

What’s your favourite part of what you do?

Every stationery project is different and unique to the bride and groom. Working together to produce

something they love and seeing the end result is very satisfying. Everyone relies on technology so much

today but I still love the look and feel of something that has been beautifully printed on quality stock.

What inspires your creativity?

I’m inspired by clean, minimal design, beautiful typography, letterforms and calligraphy.

I love lifestyle and interior trends which also influence my work.

What’s your dream commission?

A full stationery suite of letterpress! I love this printing technique, it has a beautiful

tactile finish, printed on beautiful cotton paper stocks, hand finished with wax seals and

calligraphed envelopes, all the little details that make a beautiful suite.

What are your hopes for the future?

I have a lot of things I still want to achieve and goals to reach for the end of this year to

improve and expand the growth of LyndaLoves. I’m always making lists! 2017 was a great year

for me and I felt my small business grow that little bit more with orders and photoshoots.

I would love to take my stationery business into a full time role and work on a freelance basis.

I’m making those steps. . . watch this space!

Anything else you would like to share?

I love this community of wedding suppliers who are always so supportive in what you do

and want to achieve. We can do great things together, being involved in weddings and styled

shoots is great team work with a fantastic result. Makes me very happy at what I do.
