This Real Lives series of interviews was born from a desire for sharing peoples stories in the hope that no-one ever feels alone. Life is full of ups and downs, but in sharing comes understanding, and when we can understand those around us we are able to be truly there for each other.

Today I’m so excited to share my conversation with Tara, a dressmaker friend with a truly inspiring story.

When I first met Tara I knew she had a lot of passion for what she does, it was something that could not be mistaken. In this interview she talks about her past and what got her to where she is today; from watching her mum struggling with a drug addiction, living through periods of homelessness and dealing with the emotional scars left behind, her story is both inspiring and eye-opening, and one that shows just how possible it is to transcend the stories of our past
